CARS Conducts Regular Nets:

Portland Monthly ERC net is held the first Sunday of each month at 21:00 hours on one of the following three frequencies. Check all three to see which one is being used, and occasionally monitor the unused frequencies, and redirect operators to the frequency in use. We usually use the VHF Repeater at 146.700MHz-PL Tone 100.  EchoLink ID is AD7NY-R ; IRLP NODE# 7371

Simplex if repeater is down (limited range-may need to be relayed): 146.700 MHz

CARS UHF Repeater (Prune Hill-nearCamas): 444.525/449.525 MHz (Tone 103.5)

CARS VHF Repeater (KGON Tower): 146.700– offset, PL Tone of 100.0

The Weekly ERC
 net is held every Wednesday at 21:00 on the CARS VHF Repeater

This site is provided as a service to all CARS members and others with similar interests.  In the past few years CARS has sponsored or helped would be, and veteran amateur radio enthusiasts to obtain or upgrade their licenses through classes, mentoring and VE sessions.  In 2010 over 100 hams received or upgraded their licenses with CARS assistance.
